Are you looking for a new challenge? Naval Ships are looking to recruit a demand manager to support the growing number of demands across the business working closely with the IM&T team based across the UK.
The Demand Manager – IT Projects role will primarily involve the control of the IM&T demand management lifecycle for all Naval Ships business demand.
You will be joining the team at an exciting time as we grow to meet current program needs in the UK and our current export programmes including the Hunter Class Frigate for the Australian Navy and the CSC programme for the Canadian Government.
The team are currently working across a range of projects some local to Naval Ships and some BAE wide initiatives and we’re looking for project managers to deliver these on time and budget. You’ll use your existing demand/project management experience and interest in IT to help our business grow and improve. This role will be varied and give an opportunity to work with the wider BAE business.
As a Demand Manager – IT Projects your main responsibilities will involve:
End to end responsibility of the IM&T demand lifecycle.
Agreement and triage of IM&T demands.
Support the demand delivery within the IM&T delivery streams.
Liaise with associated/related projects and programmes.
Produce the necessary management Reports and provide a business view on the Im&T demand status.
Manage Demand risks and issues, escalating major risks/issues to the relevant management team as agreed.
Existing Project Manager/Demand Management experience is essential.
Ability to triage and deliver demands across supporting functions in the industry
Previous experience working on IT demands/projects is preferred or a knowledge of IT from a previous role.
APM or Prince 2 qualified required and an IT qualification would be desirable but is not essential.
Previous experience with the end to end responsibility of the IM&T demand lifecycle.
ITIL 3 or 4 qualification or knowledge

Location: Filton, Glasgow, Portsmouth. Potential for occasional travel between other UK sites.
