Required for Country House Hotel in a market town, located between Cirencester & Chippenham.
The hotel has recently undertaken new ownership, which has brought renovations and planning permission for expansion. Established History and is situated in a Grade 1 listed building. The hotel is situated in a prominent position, which sees plenty of footfall from the local community and travellers afar. With the recent undertaking of a new Head Chef, this is a great time to join the team as Sous Chef and be part of the building blocks that will re-establish the great cuisine and service that has always been affiliated with the Hotel.
Working under Chefs direction, the right Chef will be open to his plethora of experience including Michelin Star Restaurants and multi Accolade award winning Hotels. This really is a great chance to develop and hone your skills under a great chef, whilst also motivating and teaching junior staff using your already established knowledge.
The right candidate must have previous experience as a Pastry Chef, with the ability to produce high end, great tasting desserts. The Pastry Kitchen is separate to the Main Kitchen, so you will manage your own area in a well equipped & well designed space to work in. The Hotel provides an afternoon tea menu, with all cakes and pastries made in house.
Good work management skills are essential, due to the multi faceted output from the Pastry Kitchen. This is a great opportunity for the right Pastry Chef to showcase their abilities and designs.
