Would you like to be part of a team which directs and manages Combat Systems procurement activities within the Naval Ships Business, working on the most cutting-edge technology for the Royal Navy? We currently have a vacancy for a Combat Systems Supply Chain Specialist at our site in Filton.
Your main responsibilities as a Supply Chain Specialist will involve:
As a Combat Systems Supply Chain Specialist, you will be working within the integrated project teams, supporting the delivery of multiple cross-functional engagements from Request for Information / Quotation stage through to project delivery and ongoing Contract Management. The role holder will assist the implementation of procurement strategies & plans, and the associated engagement and management of suppliers, projects and other key stakeholders to deliver project/business objectives.
This role will involve working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and will provide the opportunity to develop close relationships with the wider business network.
Your skills and qualifications:
- Experience within procurement / supply chain departments
- Strong stakeholder experience and understanding; demonstrating Commercial acumen in relation to Procurement activities
- Knowledge of Export Control
- Experience managing cost drivers in the value chain and the principles of total cost of ownership
- Experience of supporting the management of dynamic change programmes
- Risk & opportunity management experience
- MCIPS qualified or equivalent
- Procurement Systems experience with SAP, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Windchill
