Job description: A rare opportunity to become a warehouse manager has arisen in the Chippenham area. The role is permeant from day one working Monday to Friday day hours ( 40 hours per week)
Salary £28,000- £30,000

Must have previous warehouse management experience.

*At Least three years’ progressive experience of leading and managing a warehouse team

Job summary

*Capable of leading a team effectively, by demonstrating the ability to cope well under pressure and with multiple demands. Supervise the day to day running of the unloading, loading and booking in operation within Ungraded. Ensuring delivery of Unloading and loading KPI’s at all times.
*Continually review existing methods of loading/unloading operation in order to propose efficiencies. Must be forward thinking and highlight any discrepancies with paperwork.
*Full accurate stock counts must be done at the request of the business and reconciliation methods must be adopted.
*To ensure that product integrity of goods in stock meets company requirements and ensure that all staff are trained to handle products within the Company’s health and safety rules and guidelines.
*Ensuring that all staff complete all activities and documentation, in accordance with departmental requirement, relevant SOP’s and GMP.
*Responsible for achieving the required performance for warehouse activities, allocating personnel to carry out scheduled work on a daily basis and ensuring that commitments made are achieved.
*Responsible for leading, motivating and building good working relationships with the team and with cross-functional teams.
*Follow the lean thinking principles and make suggestions for improvement so that better ways of doing jobs are identified.
*Carry out probationary review meetings with all new starters during their first 3 months of employment.
*Authorising of holidays and wages ensuring that working hours are controlled and do not exceed 60 hrs per week for any individual as specified in the ETI base code. Should there be any contravention immediate corrective action must be taken.
*To develop a working environment that is free from intimidation, harassment and bullying.
*Responsible for conducting area specific safety risk assessments and audits, and implementing appropriate actions to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
*To promote a culture of dignity and respect amongst staff.
